Intel is about to launch its most anticipating 9th generation processor Intel core i9-9900k as early as October. Company fails continuously to launch its Cannon Lake chips that would be based on the all-new 10nm process.
However, the company is very sure about the launch of Intel 9th generation core i9-9900K. It is said to be designed using the refined version of existing 14nm process technology.
Intel is reported to deliver higher clock speed in comparison to its existing core processors. Here the new thing will be it boosts speed across all cores simultaneously.
Earlier Intel’s roadmap was leaked where it is clearly seen that the company is ready to launch its latest generation with the Core i9-9900k on 1st October 2018.
The company will launch its overclockable, unlocked processors first followed by other models in the 9th generation family.
According to reports by Wccftech, new Intel 9th generation Core i9-9900K will launch with 8 cores and 16 threads. Moreover, some leaked documents suggest that i9-9900K will be the first mainstream processor that will use the latest Core i9 brand.
A few months ago company launches the first Core i9 processor Core i9-8950HK for notebooks in April. Following the core i9 models that are a high-end desktop as a part of their Core X-series. Now the upcoming chip might have Intel’s UHD 620 graphics and 16 MB of L3 cache.
It is also been reported that the company will launch Core i7-9700K alongside the Core i9-9900K. i7-9700K will be the first 8 Core i7 mainstream desktop processor that clocks at the speed ranging from 3.6 GHz to 4.9 GHz.
However, this processor lacks Hyper-Threading that takes down the thread count to 8 from 12 in comparison to existing Core i7-8700K. The chip will have TDP of 95W and 12 MB of L3 cache.
As a new budget offer company may also launch Core i5-9600K that will have six threads and six cores. It will have clock speeds ranging from 3.7 GHz to 4.6 GHz and 9 MB of L3 cache.
Many motherboard manufacturers claim that Intel’s upcoming 9000-series processor will be compatible with existing Z3xx series motherboards.
However apart from it company is also planning to launch a fresh Z390 top-end controller alongside 8-core desktop CPUs.
