    How to Change WordPress Username and Password in cPanel

    Due to hacking issues sometimes we want to change WordPress username and password. But we know that we can only change WordPress Password in user profile from Wp Dash- board. Maximum of WordPress user’s wp-admin username is “Admin”. Hacker hack your site and then they also change your WordPress admin password. All hacker know that about that. To secure your WordPress website you have to set a strong password which cannot be crack easily by hackers.

    But WordPress beginners don’t know how to change WordPress username and password using phpMyAdmin In Cpanel. If your website hacked then first while recovering your WordPress you have to change your admin username and password.

    We cannot change WordPress username-

    When admin username is set in WordPress installation, all WordPress beginners think, they cannot change WordPress Username. Because they know in user profile of WP Dashboard we can only change WordPress password.  But we can also change WordPress username and password from phpMyAdmin in Cpanel.

    Follow these steps to change WordPress username and password from

    phpMyAdmin in Cpanel –

    phpMyAdmin is one of the easiest way of changing WordPress admin.

    STEP 1-

    Login your cPanel

    Go to Databases then open phpMyAdmin

     

     

    STEP 2-

    Now open your WordPress database

     

     

     

    STEP 3-

    On left hand side click on wp-users and you can see there an edit option.

    Click & open it.

     

     

    STEP 4-

    Now here you have to reset a WordPress user login & user pass as shown in image. While changing user pass, in function option select MD5 and then change your username.

     

     

     

    Then click on Go to reset password. You’re Username and Password from phpMyAdmin in cPanel is changed. Fill a strong alphanumeric user and password in WordPress. You should change all your passwords in ones in week...

    Now you can login to your WordPress site with your new password.
